Risser Grain set out to grow their Chambersburg, PA commercial storage operation with one clear priority: expand beyond dry corn receiving and gain the flexibility to bring in and condition wetter grain when the market and harvest conditions demanded it.
GroffJulius designed and built a storage, handling, and conditioning expansion that strengthens day-to-day adaptability at the front end of the facility while supporting long-term capacity growth.

GroffJulius managed the work end-to-end, from permitting through the hands-on details of automation startups, coordinating everything required to take the expansion from plan to operating system.
With a fall 2023 harvest deadline driving the schedule, the team implemented an aggressive plan and executed across site and civil work, concrete and excavation, steel erection, and equipment installation, delivering the project in time for Risser Grain’s seasonal push.
