GroffJulius delivered a turnkey design-build expansion for Sensenig’s Feed Mill to add on-site storage and grain drying—enabling bulk harvest purchasing, no-cost grain banking for customers, and improved feed quality and operational flexibility.

The scope covered site layout, structural and equipment integration, and full project management from permitting through commissioning, tying the new assets into the mill’s existing receiving and automation systems.

The build features two Sukup 62,000-bushel tanks (36′ Ø, 70′ eave, 80′ peak) with 10-hp aeration fans (~0.2 cfm/bu) and zero-entry paddle sweeps (~4,500 bph), two 8,000-bushel Sukup wet bins, 6,000-bph Sukup conveyors, and a propane-fired Sukup dryer (~620 bph at 5 points) with remote automation.

Delivery partners included Seaboard Construction (foundations), JNR Builders (steel), Waggoner Construction (millwright), and CREST Engineering Associates (engineering). Highlights included coordinated, multi-trade execution across civil, structural, millwright, and electrical/automation scopes and weekly owner check-ins to maintain schedule and scope, while a space-limited site was resolved through borough coordination and careful staging to keep operations active.
